rold laboratory is certified CTF Stage 2

The Rold laboratory is certified Customer Testing Facilities (Ctfs Stage 2) by IMQ Italian Quality Institute.

It means that the test equipment, metrological management and skills of our technicians comply with the ISO / IEC 17025 standard, which expresses the “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories”.

Rold is equipped to perform product safety tests like a third-party laboratory: life safety tests, self-extinguishing tests on materials, electrical insulation tests, resistance to thermal shocks.

In the world there are only about 1000 CTFs Stage 2 certified laboratories at Rold level.

The Rold laboratory conducts tests in compliance with the following regulations:

IEC/EN 60730-1 Automatic electrical controls – Part 1: General requirements

IEC/EN 60730-2-12 Particular requirements for electrically operated door locks

IEC/EN 61058-1 Switches for appliances Part 1: General requirements

IEC/EN 61058-1-1 Switches for appliances – Part 1-1: Requirements for mechanical switches

PRODUCT CERTIFICATION

Product certification is the attestation that a device, before being placed on the market, has been subjected to the necessary checks by an accredited third-party body, independent of those who sell and manufacture, to ascertain compliance with the requirements of European and/or international directives.

Obtaining a conformity mark also involves periodic control of production. Not only were the prototype samples compliant with the regulations, the production process is also suitable for guaranteeing product compliance over time.

Rold is able to obtain any conformity mark necessary for commercialization in the markets of the world.

compliance with eu and international directives and regulations

A directive is a piece of legislation that sets a goal that all EU countries must achieve. The main directives applicable to Rold products are:

RoHS: is the acronym that stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances, or restriction of hazardous substances. Identifies the Directive 2011/65 / EU on the European market for the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

REACH: is the acronym for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization of Chemicals. It concerns the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of chemicals: it provides for the registration of all substances produced or imported into the European Union.

CONFLICT MINERALS: The objective of the Conflict Minerals Rules is to discourage the use of minerals whose trade could finance conflicts in Central Africa.

system certification

By system certifications we mean all those rules drawn up with the aim of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes. This standard ensures that business processes are focused towards the customer and towards continuous improvement.

ROLD’s quality management system, in compliance with ISO 9001, has been certified since 1994. Since 2000, IMQ’s Certification Systems division has been certified by CSQ. The CSQ adheres to the IQNet international agreement which has as its purpose the mutual recognition of management system certifications issued by international certification bodies.

In order to integrate the policies referred to in the increasingly central Environmental Sustainability, the certification of the Environmental System ISO 14001 and UNI ISO 45001, Management systems for health and safety at work, are in the planning stage.
